Gardens of Voltaire´s Castle (3)The statues that you can admire in the gardens, such as this one, "The Innocence", are the work of Emile-Placide Lambert (1828-1897), who inherited the estate in 1878 and who, of all the successive owners after Voltaire's death, contributed most to the embellishment of the park.
