Hauptplatz (2)Two of the façades of the Town Hall are covered with paintings depicting historical scenes such as the Battle of Morgarten. These paintings only date from the end of the 19th century, but the building itself is much older. The building was first mentioned in 1314, was destroyed by fire in 1642 and rebuilt on its burnt walls, way too fragile. So it had to be completely rebuilt in 1777.
