Kissamos
Tzanakaki Square

The village of Kissamos isn’t particularly attractive, but it’s a pleasant seaside resort and an excellent base from which to explore western Crete, with its famous beaches at Balos and Elafonissi – which, unfortunately, have fallen victim to overtourism. We are here in the centre of the village, near the Archaeological Museum.
