Lej da Segl (Lake Sils)
Lake Sils is the largest of the small lakes in the Upper Engadine. It lies at the very end of the valley, just before the Maloja Pass, which leads down into the Bregaglia Valley.

Sils is considered the cultural centre of the Engadine. Its enchanting landscape and magical light have inspired writers, painters and musicians.

Nietzsche, Dürrenmatt, Chagall, Strauss, Honegger, Bowie and many others have found inspiration here.

We did not visit the village but found some beautiful views along the lake, and we will definitely return.
