While the road linking Sierre to Crans-Montana crosses Chermignon-d'En-Haut and gives a glimpse of the village, it passes just below Chermignon-d'En-Bas and gives no hint of this former farming village that has become very residential.
Situated just above the edge of the vineyards, Chermignon-d'En-Bas is a crossroads for hiking trails, but it is not a tourist destination.
There is only one hotel-restaurant, but it is along the main road, outside the village. There are no bars or shops; it's a sort of residential desert, where an old village centre is surrounded by a large number of villas, not always in harmony with the landscape, which is magnificent.
The old village is not lacking in interest, however, with some very surprising old houses. We shot a short panoramic stroll there to give you an idea.
