Summer and autumn strolls in Fafleralp, at the very end of the valley (97 panoramas)
Our virtual double stroll takes you on a tour of Fafleralp in summer and autumn. In front of us, it's summer and the path leads past the hamlet of Gletscherstafel, crosses the Lonza River and climbs towards the Langgletscher. Behind us, we cross the large car park and set off towards Hotel Fafleralp and the flamboyant larch forests of late autumn. We hope you enjoy your strolls!
Stroll in Blatten, the most picturesque village in the Lötschental (94 panoramas)
It is the highest village in the valley, at an altitude of 1540 m, with the Lonza River running through it. The construction of a carriage road in 1954 brought Blatten out of its isolation and enabled its tourist development. The village has remained very authentic, even if the replacement of its neo-Gothic church by a modern building in 1985 contrasts with the old wooden chalets, the oldest of which were built in the 16th century.
Stroll along the main street of Wiler, the most touristic village in the Lötschental (33 panoramic views)
We only made a brief stopover in Wiler, which thanks to the Lauchernalp cable car is the tourist and sports centre of the Lötschental. This was just the opportunity to shoot a series of panoramas along the village's main street to give you a first idea of what it's all about before returning one day or another to show you more.
