Ballenberg
Ticino farmstead (13th-19th c.)This 44-metre-long complex comprises 50 rooms and 1000 m2 of roof space. This type of farmhouse was the rule in neighbouring Italy, between the Po River plain and the Pre-Alps. They were organised as production units, with fields, vineyards and chestnut groves, and managed by sharecroppers on behalf of rich landowners.
