Fountain of Saint LeonIn the past, this square was an unhealthy pond which served the domestic needs of the inhabitants. In 1834, the mayor of the time, who was a doctor, decided to build a fountain to clean up the place and prevent cholera. The ditch was therefore filled in and an octagonal pink sandstone basin was installed in 1836. The statue was erected a few years later, in 1852.
